Katrine

When it comes to realizing your dreams and finding empowerment, Katrine Barclay, founder of Wellness AT Work speaks from experience. After thirteen years as a director in organizational knbdevelopment responsible for a multimillion dollar annual budget, she left her position and used her varied experience to start her own organization that focuses on helping individuals, nonprofits and small businesses find balance, fulfillment, and increased productivity. She says, “Underlying all my work is the desire to empower people, to show them the tools to engage in their lives more fully, and for businesses to support these efforts and thereby create a healthier bottom line.”

The beauty and inspiration of living close to the natural world drew Katrine to the White Mountains; in 2006 she relocated her business to Franconia, New Hampshire. The resources she offers the community are wide-ranging.  Her philosophy is holistic and she believes the most successful approach is one that incorporates the whole person, so along with life-coaching sessions and speaking engagements, Katrine offers weekly yoga classes. Yoga, she says, is “the physical piece of my work, I encourage individuals to be empowered through mindful movement.”  Katrine is a certified Professional Co-Active Coach, from the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, CA, and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through nationally recognized Yoga Alliance.  She received her B.S. from Emerson College in Boston, MA.

Katrine currently serves as the Vice-chair and public member for the NH Board of Acupuncture Licensing,  and volunteers for various non-profit organizations.

“I am living the dream!  I have created a life where I am surrounded by beauty, wonderful outdoor activities, and time to enjoy my life fully.  I am a part time artist, I ski & snow shoe in the winter and hike in the summer.  I share my life with my partner, Robert, my wonderful dog, Zoni, my family, and many amazing friends.  One of the best things about my business is that to be effective I have to personally uphold my own wellness and fulfillment.  My life is positive and I bring that positivity to the world!”
